This dynamic and authentic depiction of the rescue at LZ Albany was painted by Paul Tuttle. Paul’s painting honestly reveals a glimpse of the actions on the night of November 17, 1965, when troopers of the 2nd of the 7th Cavalry were evacuated under fire by Preacher aircrews from the 229th Assault Helicopter Battalion of the First Cav Division.
The Smithsonian Air & Space Museum has accepted the original painting into their collection, and now Paul Tuttle is releasing a limited edition of 500 prints, signed by the artist. A copy of the letter of dedication, signed by the pilots and crew who flew the mission, is included with the print.
LZ Albany measures 14”x22” and comes rolled in a tube for secure shipment. Price per print is $165 + $10 shipping. You may order and pay for this print online using the PayPal button below.
